Tai Shan CD Release Live in the Studio - SOLD OUT!
A year ago Tai Shan won a grant from Jack Straw Cultural Center to record her 3rd full length album, Meet in the Middle. Now one year later she will have her CD release in the same room where it was recorded with a Live Audience.

The event is Saturday night, February 3rd, 2018 at Jack Straw Studios at 6:30pm
4261 Roosevelt Way NE, Seattle, WA 98105

Tickets are $30

The $30 ticket comes with
A Preshow Meet and greet with Tai at 6pm (visit a state of the Art recording studio)
Complimentary beverage/hors d'Oeuvres
A Meet in the Middle CD

There are only 40 tickets available!

Imagine coming to a live intimate show with Tai in the place where the magic happened. Listen to Josh Rawlings (studio musician for Macklemore on Same Love and Downtown) Tim Carey (Hardcoret) and David Levin (flamenco artist) support Tai  and Austin as they perform the music from the album, live. The whole show will be recorded by Jack Straw recording engineers - your applause and laughter will be captured forever in a Live from the Studio recording. Be a part of something magical, something intimate as we Meet in the Middle.

Tai Shan is a pop-folk singer, composer and songwriter known for her 50+ songs inspired by works of literature. Her third album, Living Fiction, featured the catchy ode to individuality, Cool to Be Weird, which was chosen as the anthem for the Girl Scouts of Americas Power Up Program. In 2016, Tai was awarded a Jack Straw Cultural Center artist recording grant to complete her third album, focusing on female narratives. A Cornish College of the Arts- trained classical and jazz composer, Tai draws from a treasure chest of musical know-how. Her catchy, layered melodies echo John Mayer and Jack Johnson while her soprano soars somewhere between Joni Mitchell, Alanis Morrisette, and Adele. Tai has played live on NPR, sang for the Pope, and performed at nearly every major venue in Seattle, down the West Coast, and at the famous Bluebird cafe in Nashville.
